It’s late 2016 and Dabbl have a novel idea for a stock trading app. We met the team and were really impressed with their concept of creating a stock trading product that would appeal to the ordinary user. The Dabbl App, was going to do for stock trading what Shazam did for music.
The app allowed users to trade Stocks and ETF’s with a twist on the traditional numbers heavy interfaces. Instead users could see a sentiment score of online chatter about the brand. Uniquely users could also take a photo of their favourite brand logo in the wild and see the stock details.
Dabbl successfully launched a Seedrs crowdfunding campaign and raised more than £1.2m, allowing them to build out a great community of users.
